The guidelines
below have been developed to assist individuals who are
presenting at the 2002 PAS Annual Meeting in Baltimore.
Important
Notice!
Audio Visual equipment for platform, poster symposia, state of
the art plenary, topic symposia and hot topic presentation
formats has changed. LCD/PowerPoint
is the preferred format for platform and poster symposia.
LCD projectors, a single screen and a pointer are considered
standard equipment and will be provided universally in these
session formats. Other desired equipment will only be provided
when specifically requested by a presenter (including slide
projectors). Carefully review the new policies and take a few
moments review recommendations on power point presentations. If
you absolutely cannot use the LCD/standard equipment, email the
PAS at info@pas-meeting.org

Platform
Sessions - Platform
sessions are 2-hour sessions with 8 papers. Each paper is
afforded 15 minutes for the presentation (10 minute oral
presentation; 5 minutes for audience discussion).

Poster
Symposia - Poster symposia are 2-hour sessions and include
10–12 grouped posters with a viewing period and a formal
presentation or discussion period. The poster symposia format
encourages participant and audience interaction in a less formal
setting than a platform session.

Poster Sessions - Poster
sessions are 2–3-hour sessions with 250–400 posters on
various thematic and traditional subspecialty topics. Authors
are in attendance for a 2-hour period to discuss their work with
individual attendees in an informal setting. The PAS does not
provide nor permit audio visual equipment with a poster session
presentation.
