PAS Educational/Program Grants

The PAS Annual Meeting provides continuing medical education (CME) for the basic and clinician researcher and the teaching and general practitioner community. Sponsorship is being sought to support CME activities and special events during the meeting. Sponsors of CME activities can receive session exclusivity or partial sponsorship. Education program topics and session content organized for this year can be found on this website in a daily format or by subspecialty/track.

State of the Art Science
These programs are the highlight sessions for the PAS Annual Meeting. Sponsorship recognition includes signage on-site and recognition in the printed programs.

  • State of the Art Plenary are a means of updating and solidifying understanding interdisciplinary areas of pediatric medicine. These  sessions are also commonly forums for the presentation of new developments and seminal advances in biomedical research.  The focus of these sessions, which are spread throughout the meeting, will be on bench to bedside translations and the application of new science.  They consist of invited lectures from international leaders in the field and are designed to be of interest to a very broad range of attendees. ($12,000 exclusive; $3,000 partial)
  • Topic Symposia are programs that address issues and controversies around topics of interest to a particular audience.  As such, they are generally focused on a more specific topic than the State of the Art Plenary and allow time for active audience discussion.  Topic Symposium run concurrent with original science platform sessions, poster symposium and workshops.  ($12,000 exclusive; $3,000 partial)
  • Hot Topics focus on areas of rapid clinical discovery and excitement and should address “Hot Topics”, controversial issues and seek to stimulate new areas of research or interactions for participants.  Time is scheduled for active audience participation. ($6,000 exclusive; $3,000 partial)
  • Mini Courses are programs that address important, relevant topics of interest to all attendees from trainees to junior faculty to more senior faculty.  Usually targeted to new, broad-based clinical strategies or techniques, which are not specific for any specific discipline or subset of participants.  The emphasis is on practical and useful information for the practicing physician or provider of care. These programs are designed to be highly interactive.  ($6,000 exclusive; $3,000 partial)

Workshops  $3,000.00 (per session)
Workshops are selected using a peer review process; the format of the workshops usually includes a combination of didactic presentations, interactive discussions, and hands-on techniques depending on the topic presented. Some workshops address practical topics of concern for trainees and junior scholars, while others focus on issues for the more senior practitioner, investigator or academic leader.  Attendance is limited to make the sessions highly interactive, seating is first come, first served.

Special Interest Groups   $3,000.00 (per session)
Special Interest Groups are informal sessions organized around specific areas of interest to academic and community pediatricians.  Each session ranges in format from informal discussions to guest speakers to research presentations.
