The
Underground City:
PATH is

linking 16 miles of subterranean
shopping , services, and entertainment.

to reach your downtown destination
easily and in weatherproof comfort.
Toronto’s name, taken from the language of
the Huron First Nations, means, "meeting
place." Perfect for a city that is the
ideal convention spot.
Torontonians hail from all over the globe,
bringing their food and entertainment with
them. There are restaurants for every taste,
from Tibetan to Italian. For those who like
glitz and glamour, Toronto has a steady
stream of big-time musicals. Toronto is also
a hotbed of artistic talent. There are
theatres that push the envelope, galleries
lined with challenging work, bands that rock
into the night and spas a plenty, for
pampering and relaxation.
Stroll along historic Main Street Unionville
in the east end of Toronto or the quaint
village of Streetsville in the west. Both
towns have dozens of historical points of
interest, as well as beautiful boutiques,
galleries and variety stores.
For
those who wish to extend their trip, Toronto
is a gateway to the immense richness of
Ontario. Niagara Falls is a Wonder of the
World, and just beyond the spray are the
Niagara region’s famous wineries. The
wineries of the Niagara Peninsula are
internationally acclaimed.
To
Toronto’s west, the internationally renowned
Stratford Festival features the work of the
world’s most famous playwright, William
Shakespeare.
Then there’s Canada’s famous wilderness.
After the urban adventure that is Toronto,
the northern woods are often the perfect
counterpoint. Let loons serenade you on a
placid lake. Get your adrenaline pumping
with whitewater rafting. Or watch a sunset
that seems to last an eternity. It’s all at
Toronto’s back door.
