New Hot Topic: H1N1 Influenza A!
The PAS Program Committee is pleased to
announce a new "Hot Topic" Symposium
entitled "H1N1 Influenza A: What the
Pediatrician Needs to Know" for
Monday, May 4, from 11:30 AM
to 1:00 PM. At this session, an
overview of the H1N1 Influenza A will be
presented, with an emphasis on review of
the current epidemiology, pandemic
planning and potential, practical
infection control advice, and overview
of the appropriate use of antiviral
therapies. The goal is to provide
meeting attendees with up to date,
practical information about the current
status of this global health-care
emergency.
The PAS meeting is proceeding as
planned. This is clearly a very fluid
situation, and the PAS Program Committee
and office will be monitoring
information about the H1N1 Influenza A closely
and posting updates as needed.
Continuous updates on the H1N1 Influenza A are
also available at the Centers for
Disease Control web site (http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/).
Supported by the Pediatric Infectious
Diseases Society.
