| Injury control is often implemented in community and public settings, so the Injury Control SIG and the School and Community Health SIG are joining forces this year to examine effective ways to engage communities in disseminating evidence-based prevention. This SIG program will include:
1) A discussion of sports-related concussion in schools and progress in state policy to improve concussion management, using Washington state as a model;
2) A session on innovative methods to disseminate the Connected Kids violence prevention curriculum;
3) Trainee awards session; and
4) A group forum on the impact of health care reform on injury control. |
