GENERAL INFORMATION

ADVANCE MEETING REGISTRATION DEADLINE: APRIL 1, 1998

Registrations received after April 1st will be returned - - No Exceptions.
After April 1, all individuals will be required to register on-site and pay on-site fees.

Registration & Other Fees

The General Meeting Registration Fee includes the pocket program. All pre-registrants will receive their badge, pocket program and Program-On-Disk (electronic itinerary planner & APS/SPR/APA abstracts) before the meetings (by April 21, 1998). For other purchases (abstract books, CME Certificate) tickets for on-site pickup will be sent with your badge in mid-April.

There are substantial savings if you register for the Early Bird registration by March 6. You are strongly encouraged to register early.

Educational Seminar Registration

These seminars are small interactive workshops which address practical topics of concern for trainees and junior faculty. See pages 6-12 for description information and special registration form. Attendance is limited and special registration required. All seminars will be held at the New Orleans Convention Center.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests must be received by April 15, 1998 or no refund will be issued — no exceptions. There is a 20% administrative processing fee withheld from all cancellations and duplicate registrations received prior to April 15, 1998. No refunds will be issued after April 15th.

Child Care*
The Pediatric Academic Societies are proud to announce that KiddieCorp child care service will be available again at this year’s convention. The service will be located in the Hilton Riverside Hotel. KiddieCorp is in their ninth year of providing on-site group child care programs to associations and businesses across the country.

The hours for child care will coincide with all major daytime and some evening events.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

Statement for Sabbath Observant Members Who Will Be Attending the Pediatric Academic Societies Meeting

Recognizing that the movement of the Pediatric Academic Societies’ Meeting to the weekends may cause conflicts for some members of our Societies, special accommodations have been made so that: (1) the opening reception and poster session will be held on Saturday, 2) those who are unable to present at sessions on Saturday and Sunday will be accommodated at other sessions, 3) numerous hotel rooms are within walking distance of the Convention site, and 4) all efforts will be made to accommodate other special needs within the limitation of the facilities available. Please notify the housing bureau or your hotel about special requests.
