The PAS 2024 Call for Lab Proposals will be open May 15 – June 15, 2023! We invite all members of the PAS community to submit your lab ideas for 2024! After review, PAS will make lab selections and notify all who were accepted by August 1, 2023.
WHAT IS A PAS LAB?
For those who may not be familiar with what a PAS Lab is, they are pilot tests of new innovative ways to deliver PAS activities, content, or events that are designed to enhance the overall experience of attendees at the PAS Meeting. These labs are debuted during the meeting to gather feedback and evaluate their effectiveness before potentially becoming a permanent part of the PAS Meeting. In the past, Labs have included:
- Panel discussions
- Unopposed networking breakouts organized by specialty
- Highlighted Themes
- Events for trainees, such as the Trainee Zone and Trainees on the Town
Submissions that would fall under a traditional session proposal, such as Scholarly Sessions, Workshops, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), Ancillary Events, or Abstracts.
HOW ARE LABS CREATED? WHO SELECTS LABS?

The PAS Program Committee Leadership Team will review submissions, and selected Labs will be recommended to the PAS Board of Directors for final approval.
