Jump start your PAS experience with Friday in the Parc– Pediatric Science And Research Career Day. This day includes special sessions targeted towards trainees, fellows and career development. PAS provides a variety of high-quality educational, career-developmental, and collaborative opportunities to help you make the most of your meeting experience. This new focus for Friday’s pre-conference programming creates opportunities for PAS Partner and Alliance societies to continue growing the pediatric research pipeline and to feature their career development initiatives. We are excited to announce our PAS 2021 Lab innovations.

Trainee Pathway

Focuses on career development, networking, skills development, and informational sessions that foster mentor/mentee interactions.

Trainee Zone

The Trainee Zone provides a designated online meeting place with opportunities to connect, network, and learn. PAS trainees can watch live and on-demand talks from institutions, schedule appointments with institutional leadership, learn about job postings, and participate in networking rooms within the zone.

On-Demand “Trainee Talks”

This web page will display and link to a 15-minute on-demand talk from each participating contributor. Each contributor will login to Cadmium to upload their talk slides and then record their video. Below, you will find a list of example talks. Feel free to come up with your own topics!

February 26^th—Please have your speaker name, email, title, and talk description to Carmen Beck, cbeck@pasmeeting.org.
March 1^st – Speakers will be sent info/instructions from programming on the next steps.
March 22^nd—Speakers can build speaker profiles, upload slides, and record their videos.
April 16^th—Speakers must be complete their profile, slides, and video.

Trainee Networking Rooms

Connect with trainees in our networking room for trainees! Contributor’s topic will correlate to their Trainee Talk. Thus, if you do a Trainee Talk about interviewing, your networking room will be a space to continue the conversation on the topic of interviewing. Contributor will pick time slot from listing below as well as provide a moderator to help guide the conversation. Up to 75 people will be allowed in the video chat. A PAS staff member will also be present to help with any technical challenges.

OFFICE HOURS

Another networking area in the Trainee Zone will be called Office Hours. In this area, doctors will have the ability to chat with trainees and answer their questions. Questions come via text chat with an opportunity for them to be called on and then show video/unmute to ask questions. Up to 75 people will be allowed in the video chat.
